LFP owns or controls a range of technologies including Lamiflo and Torrefaction.

The development of the Lamiflo process in the United States represented a major change in materials handling systems. More importantly the impact of Lamiflo on the drying of materials presents a major commercial opportunity allowing a broad range of materials to be dried at a significantly lower cost than alternative processes.

LFP identified various opportunities for the Lamiflo process including iron ore fines drying in Australia and silica sand drying .

Recently the sinking of large cargo vessels transporting wet ores has highlighted the need to control and manage Transportable Moisture Contents.

The growing global energy demand also presents a range of opportunities for LFP.

The application of Lamiflo to coals will significantly increase both its heating value and reduce its carbon output. Recognising the potential value of global lignite reserves, LFP has added Torrefaction to the treatment process to further enhance the quality and value of coals.
